What it is
A single-needle, two-thread lockstitch bartacker with a 40 × 30 mm sewing area, automatic presser foot lift, thread trimmer and wiper, and a touch screen or dot-matrix panel.
Who it's for
Trouser, jeans, uniform and workwear factories in the UAE, the GCC and Africa, from Ghana and Benin to Kenya and Ethiopia, and bag, cap and knitwear makers who need a version set up for their material.
Why this model
Take the GS for light and medium fabric, the GH for jeans and heavy cloth and the GM for knits. Order a K version (GSK, GHK, GMK) when one machine has to sew bartacks one week and buttons the next.
Setting up bartacking on a trouser or uniform line
A trouser line needs bartacks at the belt loops, pockets and fly; a uniform line at pockets, epaulettes and straps. We work out how many bartackers each line needs and quote them with the rest of the machines.

What the JK-T1900G does on a factory floor
40 × 30 mm sewing area
Belt loops, pockets and flies under one clamp
The clamp moves the fabric through a 40 × 30 mm area under the needle, so the same machine sews short bartacks, crosses, circles and small patterns. Jack rates the GS version for light and medium fabric at 3,200 stitches a minute.
On the factory floorBecause the clamp moves the fabric through a 40 × 30 mm area, one machine sews belt loops, pocket corners and flies as short bartacks, crosses or circles.
Heavy fabric version (GH)
Bartacks on jeans and heavy cloth
The GH version takes a heavier DP×17 #19 needle and runs at up to 2,700 stitches a minute. Jack shows the series bartacking jeans belt loops, luggage and fishing net.
On the factory floorBecause the GH version takes a heavier DP×17 #19 needle, the line can bartack jeans belt loops and luggage in heavy cloth.
Knit version (GM)
Bartacks on knits without thread breaks
The GM version, with a DP×5 #11 needle, is set up for knitted fabric. Jack names underwear, bras and other knitwear for it and says it sews knits without breaking thread.

Trims and wipes by itself
Every version lifts the foot, trims and wipes the thread. Jack states the thread tail is tacked in, so the bartack needs no hand trimming.
Touch screen or dot-matrix panel
The panel shows the pattern and its settings, so operators do not have to remember them.
Bartack or buttons (K versions)
On the GSK, GHK and GMK, Jack quotes about one minute to change between bartacking and button sewing.
Other versions in the series: GY for cap holes, GN for fishing net, GL for socks, and the JK-T1906GS and JK-T1906GP with a 60 × 50 mm area for small patterns and elastic joining.

Yes, if you order a K version. Jack sells the pair as JK-T1900GSK and JK-T1903GSK and quotes about one minute to switch between bartacking and button sewing. For a full-time button line, the JK-T1903GS or the JK-T1903GR with its automatic button feeder is the better buy.
