What it is
A single-needle, two-thread lockstitch button sewer with automatic presser foot lift, thread trimmer and wiper. The GS sews buttons only, the GSK also converts to bartacking, and the GR adds a vibrating bowl and a feeder arm that load the buttons.

Why this model
Pick it over the single-thread JK-T1377GK when buttons have to stay on through repeated washing: it sews a two-thread lockstitch. Pick the GR when one button size runs for hours and loading buttons by hand holds the line back.

On a shirt or uniform line the button sewer works next to the buttonhole machine. We size the section to your daily output and work out with you where the GR feeder pays for itself and where the GS is enough.

What the JK-T1903G does on a factory floor
Button clamp
Flat buttons from 8 to 30 mm
The clamp holds 2-hole and 4-hole buttons of 8 to 30 mm on the GS and GSK, with hole spacing from 2.4 to 6.8 mm each way. The machine sews at up to 2,700 stitches a minute, then trims and wipes the thread at the end of each button.
On the factory floorBecause the GS and GSK clamp takes 2-hole and 4-hole buttons from 8 to 30 mm, one machine sews both small and large buttons.
Automatic button feeder (GR)
The feeder loads the buttons, the operator handles the garment
On the JK-T1903GR a vibrating bowl lines the buttons up and an arm places each one in the clamp, the right side up. Jack rates the feeding at three times the speed of loading by hand and puts the overall gain at 50%.
On the factory floorBecause the GR feeder lines up each button and places it in the clamp, the operator keeps both hands on the garment instead of picking up buttons.
One-key button change (GR)
A new button size in about ten seconds
To change button size on the GR, the operator presses One Key Button Change on the screen and swaps the buttons in the bowl, and the feeder track sets its own width and height. Jack quotes about ten seconds per change. Repair and reset keys deal with a faulty or misfed button.
On the factory floorBecause one key and a bowl swap change the button size in about ten seconds, lines that switch buttons during a shift lose little time.
Trims and wipes by itself
The foot lifts, the thread is trimmed and the wiper clears it after every button, on all versions.
Button or bartack (GSK)
The GSK converts to bartacking. Jack quotes about one minute for the change, so one machine can cover both jobs on a small line.
Patterns on the panel
2-hole and 4-hole patterns, parallel, crossed and Z-shaped, are chosen on the operation panel.

Do I need the GR automatic feeder?
The GR suits lines that sew one button size for long runs, such as shirt fronts. Jack rates its feeding at three times the speed of loading by hand and the overall gain at 50%. It takes buttons of 9 to 22 mm and needs more floor space: 1020 × 870 × 1390 mm against 805 × 405 × 525 mm for the GS. For mixed, short runs the GS is usually enough.
Will the buttons stay on after washing?
The JK-T1903 sews a two-thread lockstitch, which does not run back the way a single-thread chainstitch can when a thread breaks. Jack states that buttons sewn on the GR do not come off after washing. For uniforms that go through industrial laundry, we can test your buttons and fabric before you order.
