In technical textiles, the seam has to pass the test, not just look right.

Seam strength must survive testing
A clean-looking seam still fails if the machine, thread or needle combination is wrong for the fabric weight and construction.
FR and aramid fabric punishes the wrong needle
Heat from friction on FR, ballistic or coated fabric can compromise the fibre before you see a visible defect.
Needle detection can hold a shipment
Many government and defence buyers will hold a shipment if an inline needle scan fails.
Specification documentation travels with every order
Regulated buyers need thread certificates, machine settings and inspection records. Equipment that cannot support that paper trail is a liability.

The right setup starts with the seam specification

In military and technical textile production, the seam specification is the deliverable. The machine, needle class, thread construction and tension all have to be matched to the fabric before the first production run, because a failure found at inspection or in the field cannot be undone. That is why we start from the specification rather than from a machine list.
