Which Jack overlock: C7 Urus, C4 or E5S
The C7 Urus is Jack's top overlock: every automatic feature, plus an AI feed that crosses thick seams at full speed. The C4 has the same automatic modes and voice guide for long runs of the same seam. The E5S is the simple overlock for mixed orders, and it replaces the Jack E4 and E4S.
- Choose the C7 Urus if you want Jack's top overlock, for every seam from knitwear to denim.
- Choose the C4 if you want automatic modes and a voice guide for long runs, such as T-shirts and polos.
- Choose the E5S if you want a simple overlock with a medium and heavy setting.

Why is the C7 Urus Jack's top overlock?
- Full speed across thick seams. A sensor on the foot reads each change in thickness, and the motor raises the feed torque up to 9.2 N·m. So it keeps 7,000 spm across hems, cuffs and waistbands instead of slowing down.
- Foot pressure that changes at every joint, checked 32,000 times a second. So the stitch stays even where seams cross.
- Everything automatic. Three sewing modes, automatic thread cut to 5 mm, a digital foot lift to 10 mm and a voice guide.
- One machine for every fabric. A light, medium and heavy selector, and denim versions (C7-5 and C7-6) with size 19 needles.
When is the C4 the right choice?
For long runs of the same seam, such as shoulder and side seams on T-shirts. It runs without the pedal and lifts the foot and cuts the chain by itself. When there is a fault, its voice guide says what is wrong and how to clear it; Jack's video shows it in nine languages, Arabic and English among them.
When is the E5S the right choice?
For mixed orders on a simple machine. The operator switches between a medium and a heavy setting, so the same overlock takes knitwear on one order and denim on the next. Its control works from 90 to 295 V, so it keeps running when the voltage drops or surges.
What is an overlock, or neating machine?
An overlock trims the edge and wraps it in thread in one pass, so cut edges stop fraying and knit seams stretch without breaking. Buyers also call it a serger, an overlocker or, in Ghana, a neating machine.
What about the C60, C5T and JK-797?
The C60 is for factories that want output data from each machine (touch screen, WiFi), the C5T feeds padded and bulky layers from the top and bottom, and the JK-797 has a small arm for cuffs and necklines.
