Pegasus FW803 Feed-up-the-arm Interlock (Flatlock) Machine

Yes. FW803-V is Pegasus's subclass name in the FW-V series, and X356 follows Pegasus's ordering code for 3 needles at a 5.6 mm gauge. Pegasus ended production of its earlier FW series in April 2025 and now lists the FW-V series (FW803, FW703, FW704) and the smaller FW-S series as its feed-up-the-arm interlock machines.

For seams that run along a tube after it is closed. The tube goes over the arm and the seam feeds up it, so the operator covers sweatpants leg seams and sleeve seams without opening the garment. A cylinder bed machine like the W664P sews round a tube instead: body hems, sleeve hems and cuffs. For narrow children's tubes, the W264P small cylinder bed. Many buyers say feed-off-the-arm; Pegasus uses that name for its FS and FV series and calls the FW machines feed-up-the-arm.

Both are FW-V feed-up-the-arm covering machines with the same needles, threads and gauges. The FW803 has the 420 mm long arm for long seams such as sweatpants legs and runs at up to 3,500 sti/min. The FW703 has the 255 mm standard arm, which Pegasus shows on sleeves, and runs at up to 4,000 sti/min.

Pegasus lists the FW803-V for heavy fabric and for covering overlock seams folded over. It runs 3 needles with 5 threads or 4 needles with 6 threads, at a 5.6, 6.0 or 6.4 mm gauge. Send us a sample garment and we confirm the gauge and set-up before you order.

No, they are different machines. The FW603S is the smaller feed-up-the-arm interlock in Pegasus's FW-S series; the older FW603 (FW603FB, FW603GB) was in Pegasus's earlier FW series. Pegasus builds the FW603S with 3 needles and 5 threads at 5.6 mm, up to 4,500 sti/min, with a slender bed for covering small goods: the -F flattens overlock seams on medium to heavy sweatwear and training wear, the -G folds them over on light to medium T-shirts and sportswear. Choose the FW803 for long seams on heavy fabric, and ask us about the FW603S for smaller parts.
