The Merrow 71-1D-2 is a single needle, single thread butt-seamer that joins light to medium weight knit fabric at high speed. It is a hybrid of Merrow's MG-Class and 70-Class machines, so it sews with MG-Class precision and speed while staying dry, with no recirculating oil. In the UAE, knitwear and technical textile plants use it where a fast, flat, oil-free seam is needed.

Because it does not recirculate oil, the 71-1D-2 avoids the particulate buildup that can affect other machines. It sews a flat stitch that will not interfere with later finishing steps.
