The Jack H2-A is a 1-needle top and bottom feed lockstitch machine with the motor built into the head. The top feed moves the upper layer at the same rate as the lower one, which is what stops thick or slippery material shifting under the foot on a long seam.
Jack states that the 750 W motor and the top feed let the machine sew 10 layers of medium-light leather, and that the puncture force is 36% higher than on the machine it replaced. Jack states that the energy saving against its older models is 70%, and that mounting the motor directly on the shaft removes vibration and makes the machine quieter. Jack also states that the upper needle bar is sealed and lubricated with solid grease so it does not leak oil onto the material, that a graduated lever sets the stroke of the alternating feet to the thickness of the work, and that the self-locking knob adjusts the stitch up to 8 mm, reaching 12 mm on the H2-A-CZ-12.
