Amann Saba, core spun polyester sewing thread

A core spun polyester sewing thread for garment production, from closing seams to denim and workwear.

Saba is Amann's core spun polyester sewing thread. A core spun thread carries a filament core inside a spun cover, so it sews with the strength of filament and the handle of a spun thread. Al Borj supplies Amann thread to garment factories across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

What Amann publishes

• Raw material: polyester and polyester. Construction: core spun.
• Main applications: ladieswear and menswear, sportswear and outdoorwear, denim, underwear and lingerie, leatherwear, workwear and children's clothing.
• Ticket numbers 8 to 180, with tex numbers from 400 down to 18.
• Between 30 and 535 colours, depending on the ticket number.
• Minimum needle sizes from Nm 200 (No 25) down to Nm 50 (No 6).
• Make ups of 800 m, 1,100 m, 1,400 m, 3,000 m and 5,000 m.
• Certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 product class I (baby articles), appendix 6, and Pro-Care certified for industrial laundry according to DIN EN ISO 15797.
• Amann publishes related lines in the same family, including Saba Evo, Saba WRe, Saba Recycled, Sabatex and Sabatex Recycled. Amann states Saba Recycled is 100% recycled polyester, core spun, in ticket numbers 30 to 180, and is available GRS certified.
