Amann's universal machine embroidery thread, made for high speed work on multi head embroidery machines.

Isacord is the machine embroidery thread line from Amann, the German thread maker founded in 1854 in Bönnigheim. Embroidery houses use it for logo work, caps, uniforms, fashion embroidery and promotional pieces. Al Borj supplies Amann thread to embroidery houses and garment factories across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

What Amann publishes

  • Amann lists three Isacord products in its current embroidery range: Isacord Recycled, Isacord Recycled UV and Isacord Multicolour.
  • Amann states that it is switching Isacord to recycled material made from PET bottles, and that the colours of Isacord Recycled are identical to those of Isacord.
  • Amann states Isacord Recycled is 100% recycled polyester, continuous filament, trilobal, ticket 40, tex 27, in 390 colours, with a minimum needle size of Nm 65 (No 9).
  • Amann states Isacord Recycled UV is 100% recycled polyester with a UV absorber in the dyestuff, ticket 27, tex 40, in 20 colours, with a minimum needle size of Nm 65 (No 9).
  • Amann states both are certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 product class I, are Pro-Care certified for industrial laundry according to DIN EN ISO 15797, and are available GRS certified.
