Buying, running and servicing industrial machinery

Are you the authorised distributor for your brands, and are the machines genuine?

Yes. Al Borj has supplied industrial machinery from Sharjah since 1987 and is the authorised distributor for the manufacturers it represents: Juki, Jack, Seiko, Barudan, Eastman, Richpeace, Hashima, Naomoto, Eisenkolb, Ngai Shing, Merrow, Titan, FK Group, GBOS and Jin. Every machine we quote is new and supplied through the manufacturer's own channel, and every spare part we supply is original rather than a copy. That matters on your floor for one reason: a copy part or a grey-market machine puts your warranty, your stitch quality and your uptime at risk at the same time. See the full roster on our brand partners page.

Why are there no prices on the website?

Because no two production lines are quoted the same way. The same model changes price with the configuration you specify, the attachments and tooling your fabric needs, delivery to your city, and whether installation, operator training and a maintenance contract sit in the same order. A published price would be wrong for most of the people reading it. The catalogue on this site is here so you can specify the machine; the number comes back on a written quotation. Send your list on WhatsApp and we will price it.

How do I choose the right machine for my production?

Do not start from the machine. Start from three things: what you make, the material you run it in, and the output you owe per shift. Those three answers decide the class of machine, the head or needle count, the feed system and the attachments. Send them to us with the number of shifts you run, and a specialist comes back with a specification rather than a catalogue. If you are equipping a whole floor instead of replacing one machine, start at build your production line, or pick your sector on the industries page.

What does a quotation include?

Every quotation is written, and it states exactly what is inside the price: the machine and its configuration, the attachments and tooling, delivery to your site, and whether installation, commissioning and operator training are included in that figure or priced as separate lines. Warranty terms and any annual maintenance contract appear on the same document. Nothing is assumed. If an item is not written on the quotation, it is not in the price, so ask us to add it before you approve rather than after the machine lands.

What warranty comes with a machine?

New machines carry the manufacturer's warranty. The period and the terms are not the same across every brand and model we carry, so we state them in writing on your quotation instead of publishing one figure here that would be wrong for half the range. Two things are constant. The warranty is serviced by our own engineers in the region, not by a distant agent. And it stays valid only while the machine runs on genuine parts and consumables. Ask us to confirm the warranty on the exact model you are considering before you approve the quotation.

Can I see a machine running before I buy?

Yes. Our showroom is at Showroom #4, Al Borj Showrooms, Industrial Area 4, Sharjah, and we demonstrate machines there, including changeovers such as cap to flat goods on an embroidery head. Bring your own fabric and your own thread. A machine that reads well on a specification sheet can behave differently on your material, and running your own cloth through it in the showroom tells you more than any brochure. Book a showroom visit on WhatsApp.

Do you install the machine and train my operators?

Yes, and it is one visit rather than two. Our technicians uncrate, position, level and commission the machine on your floor, connect it to power and air, and run test material until it produces to specification. While that is happening your operators are trained on correct running, threading and daily care, and your maintenance staff on adjustment and first-line troubleshooting. An operator who was never trained on the machine will run it below its rated speed and blame the machine. Confirm on your quotation whether installation and training sit inside the price or are quoted separately.

What are your lead times?

It depends on whether the machine is already stocked in Sharjah or has to be indented from the factory. A stocked model moves quickly. An indent order runs to the manufacturer's production schedule plus shipping to the UAE, and that changes by brand, by model and by the time of year, so we will not publish a single number here that would be wrong for most enquiries. Every quotation states the lead time for the exact machines on it. If you are working to a date you must hit, say so in your enquiry: we will tell you before you order whether it is achievable, and what is in stock that would meet it.

Do you deliver outside the UAE?

Yes. From our Sharjah base Al Borj has served more than 5,000 factories in over 60 countries across the Middle East and Africa, and we have offices and service teams in the UAE and Ghana, and a presence in Kenya. Freight, documentation and delivery are arranged as part of the order rather than left to you to solve. If you are in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or further into Africa, tell us the destination city and whether you need the machine at the port or on your factory floor, and we will confirm what we can arrange and what it adds to the quotation.

Do you supply spare parts, needles and consumables?

Yes, for the machines we represent, and they are genuine. Spare parts and consumables are stocked in the UAE, so a stopped line is not also waiting on overseas freight. That includes Organ industrial sewing machine needles, Amann sewing and embroidery threads, and Koban rotary hooks, shuttle hooks and bobbin cases. You do not need the part number: send a photo of the old part and a photo of the plate on the machine, and our service team will identify it and come back with a written quotation. There is more on our spare parts page.

What is an AMC, and what does it cover?

An Annual Maintenance Contract is a programme of scheduled service visits across the year, instead of calling us only once a machine has already stopped. Our engineers arrive on a planned date, service the machines named on the contract, and find wear before it becomes a breakdown. The difference is when you lose the time: a planned visit costs you a slot you chose, a breakdown costs you the middle of a shift. Cover is written per contract, because a floor of ten machines and a floor of two hundred are not maintained the same way. Send us your machine list and we will scope one.

What happens if a machine breaks down?

Message the service team with the brand, the model and what the machine is doing. WhatsApp is the fastest route, and a photo or a short video of the fault often saves a site visit. We then decide one of three things: an adjustment your own technician can make with us on the line, a genuine spare part to send, or an engineer on your floor. We do not publish a response-time guarantee here, because it depends on where your factory is and what has failed. Tell us both and we will tell you what we can do. Report a fault on WhatsApp, or call +971 6 533 3413.
